Hair Gel and Imitation

I was putting on my hair gel while looking at the mirror of the dressing table yesterday while Kristen was just sitting on the bed next to me, playing with a comb or something that she took from the table. After a while, I noticed that she was looking at my action (of putting the hair gel) and she did the same thing! She took some 'gel' from the comb/ whatever and put it on her hair and rub it the way I did with mine. She was imitating me, her father!

I broke into a chuckle as I asked her, "What are you doing, Kristen?". She just smiled.

Then I just realised, that's exactly what we need to do. Imitate what our heavenly Father's action as written in the word. Paul said, "Imitate me as I imitate Christ" as he reminded us that our goal in life should become Christlike as we grow in life.

Next time as I put on that hair gel, I'll be reminded that Kristen will be imitating me ... which in turn will remind me that I ought to imitate Christ!
