2 week summary

Been away and been busy. Hence the absence. I'll do a brain dump to summarise the last 2 weeks.

  • Attended training in Singapore last week. It was quite enlightening. Was sick the first 2 days, was popping panadols all day.
  • Made a round trip to Ipoh and back in 4 1/2 hours the night before. Back at 1am. So tired and so sick by then.
  • Met up with a young graduate, a couple who's embarking on missionary journey to Nepal (his 3rd trip) and catch up with my bro/ sis in law over in the Lion City. Managed to catch GI JOE too! :)
  • Bought 2 books. The Outlier (Malcolm Gladwell) and A little History of the World (E.H Gombrich).
  • Am excited about The Dream Reloaded - only less than 2 weeks away! The committee is working really hard. Praying for an defining moment in the lives of the people.
  • The GROW series is coming to an end next week. Here's the 6-week summaries:
  • Part 1: Spiritual GROWTH in growing in the PERSON of Jesus, not PROCESS or PROGRAMS
  • Part 2: We can GROW our TRUST in God, because He knows best and He loves us most!
  • Part 3: We can GROW our FAITH in God, because He is ABLE and He is WILLING to do what He said He will do.
  • Part 4: Growing our LOVE - the Action produces the Emotion.
  • Part 5: Growing our FOLLOWING - Following Jesus from a distance will lead us to the wrong place, to the wrong people and eventually lead us to do the wrong thing.
  • Part 6: Growing our VISION. What do you see? Who is around you? What's in your hands?
  • Arsenal started the session with 6-1 win. WOOOHOOO! I enjoyed the match!
  • I'm still coughing away.
  • BBQ @ Kat's place. Nice place and great company.
  • Hearing testimonies during services keep reminding why I do what I do. Also reading testimonies like this
  • I thanked God everytime i think of the TEAM that's serving with me in this Damansara Dream journey.
  • Kristen's learning how to wave (she's confused between waving and clapping sometimes). Imagine waving after someone give a good speech and clapping when someone boarded a plane.
  • I'm just so excited about the CAMP!

How to make a baby laugh

Many friends, colleagues, ex-colleagues, high school and college friends been asking me how's the journey of being a fatherhood. Well, it's by far the biggest transition of my life (perhaps more than all transition combined even). Overall, it's been a joy. And i'm learning to enjoy every moments as she grows.

This video was captured last night at our kitchen table. One of those moments of joy of seeing my 8-month-old:
