Valentines' Day & Flowers

I wrote a post about Valentines' Day and Traffic Jams here last year and i'm sure this year would be no different.

So, here i am ... it's past midnight and it's Valentines Day. The day where ruthless capitalism is at its very peak! Where the height of consumerism continues to impoverish the proletariats. Just 2 days ago, I saw a signboard in Ikano for flowers at RM 180 per dozen. But then again, if you really love the woman ... what's RM 180 right? :) Pua Chu Kang will say - 'Buy also die, don't buy also die! chiak lat!' (Gosh, i gotta stop listening to that Mix FM in the mornings in my drive to Cyber!)

'what are we doing for valentines?' my wife asked me 2 days ago. Guess the cheesy response of 'well honey, to me ... everyday's a valentine' doesnt cut it anymore. I told that to a female colleague of mine whom asked me what would i be doing for my wife during valentines. In fact, she responded by saying ... 'you everyday buy roses meh? everyday take her out for dinner meh?'. But in the end she said - 'no need buy flowers la, so expensive ... just bring her out for dinner can already la'. Such wisdom from a married woman. Then she added, "give money go shopping better'.

At the end, i believe every woman needs to know they are being longed and being fought for and desired to be swept up into an adventure and to be the Beauty.

By the way, I didn't write the last sentence myself. i stole it from this book called 'Wild At Heart'. :) Girls, it'll make a great valentines gift to your boyfriend/ husband. It talks about discovering the secret of a man's soul. And you can buy 6 of the book with RM180 :) Or you could stick to the 12 roses that will eventually die in a week. But of course, your love for your partner last longer than that ... a lifetime hopefully. Or you could buy fake flowers that will last a lifetime which will represent your love - a lifetime. But fake flowers is like ... fake love. Real also die, fake also die! Also Chiak Lat!
